Investigators with the Oxford Police Department arrested a local woman Tuesday for burglary. According to the report, on July 23 an officer responded to the Cotton Creek Subdivision for a call about a burglary. The victim reported several items were missing from inside the home and found property belonging to Brianna Sims, 18, inside the residence.

Sims was arrested Tuesday on a warrant and taken to the Lafayette County Detention Center where she was charged with burglary and booked on a $5,000 bond.
