“Northwest provides instruction to area adult residents who are looking to complete their high school equivalency, providing a pathway to a brighter future for them and for our 11-county district,” said Barksdale.

In addition to classes that will help students with the reading, writing and math sections on the GED exam, students will also be exposed to real-life application of skills they will find in any business or industry setting, allowing graduates to find better paying jobs upon graduation.

Class times differ by service location. ABE service locations include Batesville, Bruce, Byhalia, Charleston, Hernando, Holly Springs, Oxford, Senatobia and  Southaven.

Class times and faculty information are available on the college’s website.

Anyone wishing to be contacted about joining any area location’s ABE classes should visit www.northwestms.edu/GED and fill out an interest form. A Northwest staff member will contact  the student to answer any questions.
