Open registration for Northwest eLearning’s online classes Aug. 16 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. and Aug. 18-19 from 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Day classes and evening classes begin Monday, Aug. 22. Late registration will begin Aug. 22 and end Aug. 26.

In an effort to reduce the price of books for students, some nursing, economics, biology and psychology courses will begin using eBooks this semester. Electronic textbooks will be available through Northwest’s CANVAS system the first day of class. The eBook can be accessed at any time after downloading it to a device, even when students have no Internet connection.

Students whose courses use eBooks will be assessed the fee for the book when they complete their registration. If students would like a hard copy of the entire textbook, there will be black and white loose-bound books available for purchase in the bookstore.

Jennifer Luna, director of Financial Aid announced that Financial Aid staff on all campuses will be available to assist students with financial aid questions during registration.

On the Senatobia campus, Financial Aid staff will be in the McLendon Center Computer Lab during registration from Aug. 16-19, but will return to their office in Yalobusha Hall, Suite 103 on Aug. 22.

As of this date, all Northwest residence halls are full, and there is a waiting list, according to the Northwest Housing Office.
