OAKLAND — George “David” Williams Sr., 55, died Sunday, July 31, 2016, at his home in Oakland. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 13. Details will be forthcoming from the family. Seven Oaks Funeral Home of Water Valley is in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Barker Williams of Oakland; daughters Tammy Maglothin and Ruth Hayward, both of Grenada; son George David Williams Jr., of Senatobia; brother Mark Williams of Arkansas; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
