Schools in the Oxford School District were placed on lockdown late this afternoon after Oxford High School received “an anonymous threat.” Both the high school and Oxford Middle School were placed on lockdown but school was dismissed at its regular time. The type of threat and where originated are unknown at this time.

Oxford Police Department responded to all of the schools within the district as a precaution. Look for more on this story as it develops and in Sunday’s edition of The EAGLE.
