Christine Elizabeth Daniel Guest, 88, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family members at   her home in Oxford on Aug. 21, 2016.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, Aug. 25, 2016, 4 p.m.  at College Hill Presbyterian Church in Oxford with Rev. Gerald Shook officiating.  Visitation will be held prior to the service,  2:30 to 4 p.m. in the sanctuary.

Born in Tutwiler, to the late Allen Kelly Daniel Sr. and O’Leta Moore Daniel, Christine was a devoted daughter, loving mother, grandmother and Christian servant to many.  In Sumner, Cruger and Greenwood, where she and her husband Tom Ed lived and farmed, she was a faithful church member and was very active in service to the community, especially visiting the sick and residents at the local nursing homes.  She was instrumental in establishing, teaching, and ministering to a Sunday school class for senior adults living at Magnolia Manor. Among her hobbies, she enjoyed gardening and spending time with family and friends at the lake. She delighted in cooking, cherishing the preparation of meals for all those she loved and for many who were in need. When her husband was not actively farming, they enjoyed traveling and over many years visited all 50 states. She and Tom Ed relocated from the Delta to Oxford in 2010. Shortly after, they joined in Christ’s service at Anchor Baptist Church in Water Valley.
