“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14

Edith Pierce Williams passed peacefully from the arms of her loving parents into the arms of Jesus early Tuesday, June 21, 2016. A private graveside service will be held in Oxford Memorial Cemetery  in Oxford.

Edie was born on March 5, 2012 and you only had to meet Edie once to realize that she was truly an angel on earth. Sometimes it’s the smallest things that take up the most room in our hearts and she most definitely did. She touched everyone who met her with her gentle nature, infectious laugh and joyful smile and she was so deeply loved by her family and friends. Edie leaves us with her beautiful legacy and taught all who loved her endurance, unconditional love, and true happiness. Though Edie was born with Rhizomelic Chondrodysplasia Punctata (RCDP) she bravely battled this disease during her lifetime. She never complained and instead lived blissfully unaware of any shortcomings. She was full of happiness and her zest for living inspired those closest around her to focus on the things that are truly important and to live in the moment. Her family felt so blessed to have had her for four years and will miss her immensely.
