WATER VALLEY — Jewel Schmitz Edwards, 93, died Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2016, at her home in Water Valley. Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 4 p.m. in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley with burial in the Pine Crest Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Yalobusha County. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Braymon Edwards; sisters Margie Perkins and Josie Lura Schmitz; brothers Milton Schmitz and Ralph Schmitz, and a grandson.

She is survived by daughters Sheila Flippin of Water Valley and Patsy Childress of Coldwater; sons Mike Edwards of Collierville, Tennessee and Ricky Edwards of Denver, Colorado; sisters Ruby Niblett of Jackson and Ruth Ladd of Memphis, Tennessee; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
