Michael “Mike” Loy Brown, 55, died Friday, Sept. 9, 2016, at the Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2016, at 11 a.m. at North Oxford Baptist Church in Oxford, with the Rev. Bob Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in North Oxford Baptist Church Cemetery. A catered reception will be held in West Hall of Waller Funeral Home on Monday, Sept. 12, 2016, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. and visitation prior to the service at the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Born in Oxford, to William Loy and Doris Annette Houston Brown, Mike was a longtime member of North Oxford Baptist Church. He enjoyed working with crafts, loved people and was very social in any setting. He was preceded in death by his father, William Loy Brown.

He is survived by his mother, Doris Houston Brown of Canton, and brother, William David “Bill” Brown and his wife, Deborah, of Madison.
