Oxford man charged with forgery at Cannon Motors

An Oxford man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly forging signatures of previous buyers at Cannon Motors.

According to reports, Cannon Motors representatives contacted the Oxford Police Department in regards to forged signatures from previous buyers regarding warranties that were allegedly fraudulently signed by William Naramore, an employee at Cannon at the time.

Naramore was arrested and charged with uttering forgery with more charges pending the completion of the investigation by Cannon Motors. The total amount of forged warranties has not yet been determined but OPD investigators said this morning it’s more than several thousand dollars.

Naramore was taken to the Lafayette County Detention Center where he was booked on a $2,500 bond.
