A city on the move like Oxford needs to keep its appearance fresh and relevant.

That’s why the Oxford Transit Commission’s move to redesign the appearance of Oxford University Transit buses is a small but significant step in the right direction.

Enlisting the guidance of Will Hunt, owner of Hunt Marketing Firm, the Oxford Transit Commission has officially taken steps to change the exterior design of the buses. Soon, blue vinyl with classic white stripes and Oxford and Ole Miss logos will adorn Oxford’s public transit buses.

The look is good, and it reveals a sharper, more contemporary presence of both Oxford and Ole Miss in the exterior design. The new look also effectively brings Oxford and Ole Miss together on the buses, conveying the mission of the transportation system to serve the broader community.

We appreciate forward thinking that presents Oxford in a progressive light and believe the commission was right in seeking professional help in obtaining this new look.

A job well done is in order, and we look forward to seeing the OUT buses decked in navy helping get Oxford and Ole Miss where it needs to go in the years ahead.
