Dorothy Faye Scrivner Leamond, 90, died Monday, Sept. 19, 2016, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. The funeral service will be Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2016, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with the Rev. Sammy Gossett officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park Cemetery in Batesville. Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Born to the late Thomas Lender and Maifred Sarepth Holloway Scrivner, Mrs. Leamond was a member of Sylva Rena Baptist Church and was active in the Mississippi Firefighters Auxiliary. She was retired from the Arrvin Company in Verona. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda F. Palmertree; son, Ricky Palmertree; sisters, Opal Mixon, Chris Banks, and Effie Baker; and brothers, Buford Scrivner, Morris Scrivner, Alfred Scrivner, Sket Scrivner and Ruel Scrivner.

Survivors include her daughter, Wara L. Smith of Oxford; sons, Cary G. Palmertree of Tupelo, Robert W. Palmertree of Tupelo, Ross W. Leamond of Oxford and Wallace L. Leamond of Oxford; sister, Nell Cox of Water Valley; 18 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
