Dorothy Mae Onsby Sandefer, 74, died Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2016, at her home in Abbeville. The funeral service will be Friday, Sept. 23, 2016, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with the Rev. Fish Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Abbeville Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Born to the late Fred and Eva Mae Phillips Onsby, Mrs. Sandefer was retired from the Whirlpool Corporation. She was a loving mother whose greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was fond of working in her yard.

Survivors include her son, Mark “Red” Sandefer and his fiancé Candace of Mooreville, and a brother, James Onsby of Memphis, Tennessee.
