According to the Oxford Police Department, on Sept. 21, responded to Shiloh Drive after a resident reported they had seen someone in the neighborhood trying to open car doors. The suspect was identified as Eric Lewis, 20, who also lives in the Shiloh neighborhood.

Investigators found Lewis at his home and discovered stolen items from several vehicles behind his house.

Lewis was taken to the Lafayette County Detention Center where he was booked on a $2,500 bond.
