Albert Lindsey Faust, known to all his friends as Bert, died at his home on September 13, 2016.

Born in nearby Pontotoc on December 20, 1948, he attended Northwest Community College, and then settled in his beloved home of Oxford. Over the past 40 years he has probably painted more homes than most and was known for his kind and peaceful manner and hardworking soul – except for his love of Ole Miss Sports, where his emotions would overcome his quiet persona.

His parents, Stanford Burney Faust and Nonie Laverne Faust Campbell; his stepfather, Louis W. Campbell, and his sister, Burnie Deane Faust Knight, preceded him in death.

He is survived by his sister, Mary Lynn Faust Whitlock; a brother, James Stanford Faust; three nieces and two nephews.

Bert will be missed by his family and friends and was laid to rest at the Oxford Memorial Cemetery. Waller Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements.
