Ronald L. King, age 66, passed away Sunday morning, October 2, 2016 at his home in Banner, MS. He was born January 18, 1950 to Sarah Newman King and the late Galon W. King. He graduated from the University of MS and was a longtime manager of the Sonic Drive-In of Water Valley. He enjoyed taking care of his cattle on the family farm. Ron was a member of Paris Baptist Church.

Visitation is scheduled from 6 until 8 pm Monday, October 3, 2016 at Seven Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 am Tuesday morning, October 4, 2016 in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Dr. Gene Cobb, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Pine Flat cemetery in Lafayette County.

Ron is survived by his daughter, Misty Fiew of Water Valley, MS; his mother, Sarah King of Banner, MS; his sister, Brenda Cobb (Gene) of Sanford, NC; three step sons, Mike Hodge (Denise) of Long Beach, MS, Tim Hodge (Angie) and Jeff Hodge (Wendy), both of Water Valley, MS; two grandchildren, Bryce and Tristan Fiew; and eleven step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Galon King, and a stepdaughter, Amy Wilbourn.
