OXFORD — Henry Chandler Jenkins, 39, died Saturday, October 1, 2016 in Oxford.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 5, 2016, 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home with funeral services following at 4:00 p.m. in the Coleman Funeral Home Chapel. Pat Ward will officiate. Coleman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Clarksdale, he lived most of his life in the Oxford area. A fabrication welder employed by Fielder’s Welding, Chandler took pride in his work. His work with AA and NA made him an inspiration to everyone who knew him. He was loved and supported by his family through the years.

Survivors include his parents, Henry and Betty Jenkins of Oxford; a sister, Lesley Jenkins Thweatt of Oxford; two daughters, Sydney Lane Jenkins and Olivia Ann Howie both of Oxford; his girlfriend, Jessica Arnold of Oxford and a loving extended family.

Donations may be mailed to Bancorp South, 517 South Lamar, Oxford, MS 38655 payable to Sydney Lane Jenkins. All funds collected will go to a scholarship fund for Sydney.
