A Sardis man was arrested by the Oxford Police Department Wednesday for allegedly being an accessory to a robbery.

According to the reports, Deairaney Hurt, 20, was charged with accessory after the fact for allegedly helping a suspect flee the scene of a robbery that occurred on Aug. 28 in the Walmart parking lot by meeting the robbery suspect in the parking lot and driving him away.

Hurt was taken to the Lafayette County Detention Center where he was booked on a $1,500 bond.
