Harmontown Water Association issued a boil-water alert for customers who receive their drinking water from their water supply located in Lafayette County.

This affects approximately 192 customers on County Roads 519, 524, 522, 526, 525, 527, 528, 514, 515, 516, 518 and Highway 310 west on County Road 517 who are serviced by the water association.

Water system officials notified the Mississippi State Department of Health of a pressure loss due to one or more line breaks. Health officials strongly recommend that all water be boiled vigorously for one minute before it is consumed.
