Sylvia Herring Clark, 72, passed away Sunday, Oct. 9, 2016. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016 at Family Funeral Care in Memphis.

Born June 20, 1944 in Tupelo, she was passionate about caring for people and enjoyed a long career in nursing at St. Francis Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her father James Herring and her brother Pete Herring.

She is survived by two daughters, Shana Clark and Kelly (Vincent) Bonanno; one son, Shawn Clark; her mother Sue Herring; sisters Sherryl (Hershall) Pruitt and Mary Sims; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
