OXFORD — Harold Barroner Smith, 80, died Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2016, at the Mississippi State Veterans’ Affairs Home in Oxford. Waller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He was an attorney, graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and retired from the United States Army as a Lt. Colonel having served in Vietnam and Panama.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Byron Smith; sister Margie Smith; brother Henry Smith and granddaughter Devan Lott.

He is survived by his wife Sue Smith of Oxford; daughters Susan Rosenbaum of Wheaton, Illinois, Campbell Loft of Fairfax, California and Melodie Smith of Glen Ellyn, Illinois; sisters Mandy Prewitt and Mary McClure, both of Boyle, and Martha Drane of Gray Court, South Carolina; brother Charles Smith of Pensacola, Florida; and eight grandchildren.
