With Ole Miss’ Chad Kelly out, will Hugh Freeze reach out to Ryan Buchanan?

With Ole Miss quarterback Chad Kelly out for the rest of the season as the Rebels continue to fight for bowl eligibility, will Coach Hugh Freeze follow through with his suggestion that he’ll reach out to former QB Ryan Buchanan?

Freeze said with all seriousness, that he would consider trying to get Ryan Buchanan to dress out if Kelly receives bad news

Buchanan left the Ole Miss football problem earlier this year to focus on academics, but is still a student living a relatively normal life in Oxford. Buchanan completed 20 of 35 passes for 171 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in his three years with the team.

Freeze’s comment, made in passing at Saturday’s postgame press conference, was laughed off. But with Ole Miss facing Texas A&M, Vanderbilt and Mississippi State, who knows what could happen?
