Hillary Clinton snubbed Wisconsin and paid the price

Hillary Clinton apparently thought winning the state of Wisconsin was a slam dunk.

In fact, after the Democratic primary election Clinton, a Democrat, did not step foot back into the state of Wisconsin. Why would she? President Barack Obama, a Democrat, easily won Wisconsin in his two elections.

But Clinton perhaps took Wisconsin for granted. Consider this statement in the Wisconsin State Journal newspaper today: “Democrat Hillary Clinton is hoping to win Wisconsin’s 10 electoral votes, despite becoming the first major party nominee since 1972 not to set foot in the state.”

Well, considering Wisconsin votes Democratic in presidential elections typically it wasn’t going that way for Clinton tonight. Trump was leading in Wisconsin throughout the night and the state in a close election emerged as a key battle state, one Clinton would liked to have locked up.

Trump, on the other hand, made five visits to the state in the past five months, working hard to win Wisconsin.
