A University of Mississippi student was referred to the Office of Conflict Resolution and Student Conduct in connection with images of swastikas being found in the Residential College South elevator last week.

The university did not release the name of the student nor say if the student could be charged with a crime.

The incident is not the first time students at the university used symbols to invoke fear or intimidation to a particular group of people.
