A local man went from being naked to having a brand new orange jumpsuit to wear Thursday after he was arrested for a misdemeanor charge of indent exposure.

The Oxford Police Department responded to a parking lot off West Jackson Avenue around 5 p.m. Thursday after receiving calls about a named man running around.

When officers arrived they found the man running around in a disoriented fashion and mumbling incoherently.

“We suspect he was under the influence of narcotics,” said OPD Maj. Jeff McCutchen.

The man was taken to the Lafayette County Detention Center where he was held awaiting a bond hearing.
