OXFORD — Eddie “Bobtail” Pomerlee, 68, died Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2016 in Oxford. Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016, at Philadelphia M.B. Church in Oxford with interment in Flint Hill Church Cemetery in Oxford. Eddie Robinson Funeral Home in Grenada was in charge of arrangements.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Jerry Lee Pomerlee, Jo Pomerlee and Junior Pomerlee.

He is survived by daughters Tamira Pomerlee of Florida, Marilyn Delbridge, Artisha Pomerlee, Renee Isom and Winafer Pomerlee, all of Oxford and Jackie Rose; sons Gerry Pomerlee, Charles Pomerlee, Guantrell Burt, all of Oxford, Ed John Burt and Eddie Malone, both of Jackson, and Jasper Levell Burt of Atlanta, Georgia; sisters Mary Alice Hawkins and Loraine Daniels, both of North Carolina; brothers Sonny Pomerlee of Water Valley, Bonnie Pomerlee and Eugene Pomerlee of Oregon; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
