What grocery stores are open on Thanksgiving 2015?

It’s Thanksgiving Day 2016 and you are cooking in the kitchen, only to realize you need some more ingredients like butter or brown sugar. Heck, maybe you forgot the turkey.

So now you need to know: What grocery stores are open today (Thanksgiving 2016)?

First, Publix is closed today, so let’s get that out of the way. Kroger, however, is open today from at least 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. and some all day long. Whole Foods is open today. Most WalMart stores are open, however, for regular hours today – though Black Friday sales don’t start until 6 p.m.

You can also find groceries at many Walgreen’s stores and Walgreen’s is open on Thanksgiving at most locations beginning at 8 a.m.

Publix — Closed

Kroger – open at 6 a.m.

CVS – Open at 8 a.m. in most places, check with your local store to confirm.

Dollar General – Most stores open doors at 7 a.m. and stay open throughout the evening.

Walgreens – Open at 8 a.m.

Piggly Wiggly – Many stores will be open from 7-3 p.m., but call ahead to check and make sure your local store is open.

Rite-Aid – Stores are open during regular hours.

Winn-Dixie – Stores are open from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Whole Foods: Open at 6 a.m.
