The Lafayette County Board of Supervisors joined several other counties in Mississippi in lifting their outdoor burn ban that had been in effect since October.

The supervisors lifted the burn ban on Monday after significant rainfall in the area over the last several days.

Gov. Phil Bryant lifted the statewide ban on outdoor burning last week.
