An Oxford man was arrested Tuesday by the Oxford Police Department on a charge of sexual assault.

According to reports, on Dec. 2, the alleged victim filed a report claiming a sexual assault. After an investigation and speaking with the victim, charges were filled and a warrant was issued. The man turned himself in on Tuesday and was taken to the Lafayette County Detention Center where he was booked on a $10,000 bond.
