Bessie Lou Wilson, 82, of Abbeville, formerly of DeSoto County, passed away on Dec. 6, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford.

Mrs. Wilson was a retired seamstress, homemaker and a member of Abbeville First Baptist Church. Bessie was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Wilson; daughter, Linda Galbreath and brother, Darrell Ridge. She leaves two sons: Gary Turner (Nancy) of Noblesville, Indiana and Jerry Moon of Abbeville; one sister, Cate Hargrove of Adamsville, Tennessee; three brothers: Jerry Ridge of Missouri, Curtis Ridge of Arizona and Bobby Ridge of Georgia; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9 at Forest Hill South with service 10 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Forest Hill South Cemetery.
