Christmas shopping will be in full force this weekend, with the holiday now just more than two weeks away.

That’s we joined forces with the Oxford Chamber of Commerce to promote “Shop Oxford,” a reminder that you don’t have to go elsewhere to get quality gifts at affordable prices.

We hope you saw in Thursday’s paper the many wonderful gifts you can find in Oxford for $50 or less. From David Crews’ Mississippi Book of Quotations, to tickets to quality shows at the Ford Center on the Ole Miss campus, the options are many here this holiday season.

“The community-friendly atmosphere of Oxford can be attributed not only to the men and women who work hard to maintain the city’s culture, but to citizens who keeps their tax dollars at home by shopping locally rather than traveling to do their shopping, especially during the upcoming Christmas season,” the Oxford-Lafayette County Chamber of Commerce said.
