SOUTHAVEN — Russell Dale Ashmore Sr., 78, formerly of Water Valley, died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016, at Baptist Desoto Hospital in Southaven. Funeral services will be held today at 3 p.m. in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley. Visitation will be today from 2 p.m. until service time in the funeral home.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Adelaide “Lee” Stovall Ashmore; daughter Mary Alice Turpin; sons Russell Dale Ashmore Jr., and Raymond Ashmore Sr., all of Southaven; sister Lura Dell Moore of Bartlett, Tennessee; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
