Investigators with the Oxford Police Department arrested an Oxford man for allegedly strangling his partner.

According to reports, Omar Gonzalez, 26, got into an altercation with his current dating partner when he assaulted and strangled the alleged victim. He was charged with domestic violence with aggravated assault and taken to the Lafayette County Detention Center where he was booked on a $5,000 bond.
