Mildred (Mickey) Meredith Shanks-Roessler, 88, retired from Landry’s on Dec. 24, 1996, died Dec. 17, 2016 in Oxford. Graveside services are 2 p.m. Jan. 8, 2017, at Oakridge Cemetery in Clarksdale, with burial in the Oakridge Cemetery. Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale, is handling the arrangements.

Mickey was born Nov. 25, 1928 in Webb.  She graduated from Bowling Green Business College.   

Survivors include sons Richard Shanks and Stan Shanks; daughter Jenny Lucas; grandchildren William Shanks, Michael Shanks, Justin Lucas and Marissa Lucas and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dick Shanks and parents H.F. and Rosie Emerson Meredith.
