Due to the New Year’s Eve holiday, all city of Oxford, Lafayette County, state and local federal government offices will be closed Monday in observance of the New Year.

There will be no change in the garbage collection schedule for either the Oxford Environmental Services or the Lafayette County Solid Waste Department.

However, Monday’s rubbish (leaves, yard debris, et cetera) will be collected Tuesday and Wednesday.

Buses with the Oxford-University Transit System will not run on Monday.

The U.S. Post Office will be closed Monday.

The Lafayette County & Oxford Public Library will be closed Sunday and Monday.

The Oxford EAGLE will publish a paper on Sunday and offices will be open Monday.
