The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department arrested a man and woman Monday for fighting during church service.

At 11 a.m., deputies responded to Rivers Hill Church of Christ for a report of a disturbance. Witnesses say the couple started fighting in the parking lot of the church and then went inside the church where the fighting continued.

The man and women were both charged with disturbance of worship, which is a misdemeanor charge, so names are withheld.
