WATER VALLEY — Bess Wheeler Summers White, 96, died on Friday, Jan. 6, 2017, at her home in Water Valley. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017, at 3 p.m. in the First Presbyterian Church in Water Valley with interment in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley is in charge of arrangements.

In addition to her husband, Lloyd F. White, she was preceded in death by brothers Billy Summers, Hiram Summers and Robert Summers; and sisters Isabel Edgar and Mary Frances Attaway.

She is survived by daughter Elizabeth Caulfield of Water Valley; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
