We think the upcoming Big Bad Business Series sponsored by the Oxford-Lafayette County Economic Development Foundation and the Yoknapatawpha Arts Council is a winner for the community.

This partnership between these two key agencies in the Oxford area yields creative, learning opportunities while fostering the type of business and entrepreneurial activity that is becoming of the community.

The Big Bad Business Series, beginning January 28th, will include TedX Talks at the Gertrude Ford Center on the Ole Miss campus and a engaged meeting on how to get started in business for artists, inventors, prospective startup enthusiasts and anyone else who has an interest.

By including artists in the start up business programming the partnership taps into Oxford’s culture, and that shows creativity and initiative that we applaud.

It also shows how our leaders of these organizations understand that economic development and the arts council do go hand in hand, particularly here.

You can call the EDF or the Yoknapatawpha Arts Council for more information on the Big Bad Business Series and spread the word to others.

The entrepreneurial spirit in Oxford is growing and we have both of these vital agencies to thank for their contributions.
