A community panel discussing awareness and the dangers related to substance abuse, will be held Saturday at the Oxford-Lafayette County Public Library.

Hosted by Communicare’s Prevention Services, the program is open to the public. It begins with speakers at 1 p.m. and continues with a panel discussion until 3 p.m.

From 3 to 5 p.m., educational activities will be held focusing on helping shatter myths about substance use and abuse. Snacks and door prizes donated by local restaurants and businesses will be provided.

The public is encouraged to attend.
