Lucille Jones Bailey, 96, died Friday, Jan. 27, 2017, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2017, at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Oxford Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held beginning at 11:30 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Born in Grosebeck, Texas, to the late Houston David and Alfa Williams Jones, Mrs. Bailey was a retired sales clerk from Neilson’s Department Store. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Oxford.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Eva Mae Griffith and her brothers, Tracy Jones, Charles Jones and Otha Jones.

She is survived by her son, Arthur G. Bailey, Jr. and his wife, Wanda of Destin, Florida; one grandchild and two great grandchildren.
