Once again, The United Way of Oxford & Lafayette County is ready to donate hundreds of thousands dollars this year to give back to various community causes.

Executive Director Kurt Brummett says that this funding cycle will focus on four areas: improving people’s health, education, financial stability and basic needs.

“The United Way of Oxford & Lafayette County is proud to support the LOU community by addressing its most complex challenges in collaboration with local non-profit organizations and other partners,” Brummett said.

Materials for this year can be found on the UWOLC website (unitedwayoxfordms.org). Non-profits and public entities who qualify may apply. Applicants are required to submit a Primary Fiscal Agent Pre-Approval by Feb. 21 and Program Funding Application by April 3 at 5 p.m. on both of those dates.

The United Way encourages prospective applicants to attend their Application Workshop at the County Chamber of Commerce from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on March 9 to learn how to write a strong proposal.

The UWOLC Board of Directors will eventually pick their recipients by June 1.
