Edith Luella Kerr Pritchard

Edith Luella Kerr Pritchard, 95, died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2017, at Oxford Health and Rehab in Oxford. The funeral service will be held Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Oxford Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 12 p.m. in West Hall at Waller Funeral Home.

Born in Sand Flat, Texas, to the late William Alexander and Lula Mae Jackson Kerr, Mrs. Pritchard was retired from the University of Mississippi where she worked as a secretary in the School of Pharmacy. She was a member and former Sunday school teacher at First Baptist Church. She was a volunteer at Baptist Memorial Hospital and a former leader of Campfire, Cub Scouts and King’s Daughters. Mrs. Pritchard was an avid gardener and found great joy in making ceramics and dolls and entertaining.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oran Eugene Pritchard.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Marye and her husband, Bob of Jefferson, Louisiana; her son, Michael Pritchard and his wife, Stephanie of Powder Springs, Georgia; sisters-in-law, Wanda Pritchard and Ona Pritchard of Cleburne, Texas; brother-in-law, Rex Pritchard of Cleburne, Texas; grandchildren, Stephen Pritchard of Lawrenceville, Georgia and Ann Hutson of Peoria, Illinois and two great grandchildren, Oran and Colton Pritchard of Lawrenceville, Georgia.

Memorial contributions in Mrs. Pritchard’s memory may be made to First Baptist Church, 800 Van Buren, Oxford, MS 38655.
