James Trent Ray, 61, died Thursday, Feb. 2, 2017, as the result of an automobile accident in Lafayette County. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with burial to follow in Pine Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2017, from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

He was a veteran of the United States Army.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Tina Marie and Tanya Denise Ray and brother, Phillip Ray.

He is survived by his daughters, Brandy Ray Turner of Enid and Roxanne Ray Dickey of Collierville, Tennessee; a son, Shawn Ray of Oxford; sister, Stephanie Honan of Oxford; brother, Ronald Ray of Oxford; 10 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
