Oxford student’s art on exhibit at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art

Jemma Lizotte, a senior at the Mississippi School of the Arts from Oxford, has artwork featured in the prestigious Ogden Museum of Southern Art in New Orleans.

MSA Senior Visual Arts students were given the opportunity to showcase their artwork in the exhibit entitled “Stories of Our Generation,” which will be on display at the museum through March 5.

The Ogden Museum of Southern Art holds the largest and most comprehensive collection of Southern art and is recognized for its original exhibitions, public events, and educational programs which examine the development of visual art alongside Southern traditions of music, literature, and culinary heritage to provide a comprehensive story of the South.  It is the first museum in Louisiana to be designated an Affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution.
