Ole Miss has released Tae-Kion Reed from his letter of intent, a school spokesman said Thursday.

The decision comes two days after Reed, 19, was arrested in Lowndes County and charged with burglary after breaking into a home over the weekend. The Columbus Dispatch reported Reed is being accused of stealing approximately 12 guns from the residence.

Ole Miss said Wednesday it was still gathering facts on the incident. The newspaper reported Thursday morning authorities have recovered some of the stolen firearms.

An offensive and defensive lineman at New Hope, Reed, a three-star recruit, signed with the Rebels in February. He chose Ole Miss over Mississippi State on signing day by throwing an MSU cap off a table before donning an Ole Miss hat to indicate his selection.
