Sigma Nu Charity Bowl deserves support

If you want a glimpse of what student leadership at Ole Miss looks like, pay a visit this Wednesday evening to Vaught-Hemingway Stadium and support the Sigma Nu Charity Bowl football game.

The annual Sigma Nu fundraiser is the largest Greek organization fundraiser in the United States, and that’s saying something. This year the men of Sigma Nu are aiming to raise $150,000, donating money to aid a paralysis victim from Memphis and other initiatives including to help start a new student wellness center.

This is a historic year for Sigma Nu’s Charity Bowl, started in 1990, since the fraternity will eclipse the $2 million mark since the philanthropy effort was launched 28 years ago. That’s why we encourage members of the community to get out and support the event, which begins this Wednesday at 6 p.m. with a sorority cheer competition and continues with a 7 p.m. kickoff with Sigma Nu vs. Kappa Sigma in Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.

All proceeds from ticket sales go directly to the fraternity’s charity effort, so your admission dollars will be well spent.

We celebrate the leadership of Sigma Nu and other organizations on the Ole Miss campus willing to give service above self in the name of making a difference for others.
