OXFORD — Marie Ashby Sims, 73, died Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2017, at Coleman Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017, from 11 a.m. until service time at Coleman Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bill Ashby.

She is survived by her husband, Freddie Lee Sims of Oxford; sons Brent C. Johnson of Oxford and Ashby Johnson of Coldwater; step-daughter Mary Britt of Atoka, Tennessee; brother Jimmy Ashby of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; six grandsons and one granddaughter.
