The Oxford Police Department arrested two local men Wednesday for allegedly stealing a television from a home on Old Taylor Road.

Police responded to Old Taylor Road and met with a woman who said her TV was stolen and that she heard the two responsible had just been pulled over by other officers for an unrelated incident.

The officers on scene communicated with the officers conducting the traffic stop and confirmed that the suspects, identified as Marrico Johnson, 28, and Jessie Redmond, 27, had the television in their vehicle.

Both were arrested and taken to the Lafayette County Detention Center where Johnson was booked for DUI and burglary and Redmond was booked for burglary. Both received $10,000 bonds.
