Aleda Dorothy Harris Pruitt

Mrs. Aleda Dorothy Harris Pruitt, 95, died Sunday, April 23, 2017, at Brookdale Assisted Living Facility in Oxford. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with the Rev. Freddie Moorman officiating. Burial will follow in Oxford Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Born in Mountain View, Missouri, to the late Jefferson Thomas and Hattie Delia Davis Harris, Mrs. Pruitt was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy. She was an artist that painted beautiful oil paintings. She was a minister’s wife and known as a great prayer warrior. She cared deeply about others and spent time praying for them. Mrs. Pruitt was a homemaker who always put her family first after her faith in God.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond McRay Pruitt.

She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Kay Pruitt Smith and her husband, Jim of Oxford; her son, Jimmy R. Pruitt and his wife, Mary Grace of Owens Cross Roads, Alabama; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
