The Oxford Police Department arrested three men Wednesday for allegedly stealing money and items from Local Color, a smoke and gift shop. The owner told investigators that on April 25, he heard someone come in from the back door of the shop, located on North Lamar Boulevard. As the owner walked to the back, he saw three males taking money from the register and items off the shelf. When the three saw the owner, they ran out the back and drove away.

The owner was able to provide investigators with the tag number of the vehicle the three left the scene in. They were identified as Daniel Watts, 18, Dylon Gates, 18, and Samuel Mchee, 22, all of Oxford.

On April 26, warrants were served for their arrest. They were taken to the Lafayette County Detention Center where they were booked on a $10,000 bonds each.
